Tennis is One of the Favorite Pastimes in Ilocos Norte

Here in my home province, Ilocos Norte, one of the favorite pastimes of people here is to play tennis. You can practically see tennis courts everywhere especially in “centros” or town proper. Many schools also have tennis courts here.

Hence, it’s just normal for many Ilocanos to see products such as Wilson tennis racquets and other tennis paraphernalias. It’s true, tennis has become the favorite sport in Ilocos especially among males aged 30 and above.

New Balance tennis shoes, Nike shoes and other branded shoes can bee seen worn by these players. This is because these shoes really are good on the feet and can really measure up with the rigors of the sport.

Head racquets have also become a prized possession especially those made of graphite. It’s funny I lost my graphite tennis racquet when I was playing tennis in high school. At present they have become more expensive than before but the quality has remained very good indeed.

I usually play tennis on weekends when I am stressed out since it has helped me keep fit. The game is exciting and sweating it out makes me feel better than ever. Perhaps as a form of stress managemen, you should play tennis, too. It’s good for your health because it helps lower cholesterol and improves blood circulation. Playing tennis has so many benefits and I have always been an advocate of the sport seeing how my 65-year-old grandfather maintain his health because he still plays the sport actively. Well, he does not hit ball like Pete Sampras but he definitely can still beat me in some occasions.
