Motor Vehicle Registration Requires Car insurance
I just registered my owner-type jeep at the Land Transportation Office in Laoag City, Philippines. The total charges incurred reached almost seven thousand Philippine Pesos. The insurance amounted to one thousand five hundred pesos. The registration covered two years of because I did not register the vehicle last year due to some constraints. I also paid one thousand pesos for the penalty.
Auto insurance can sometimes be a pain in the butt. The amount a car owner is obligated to pay vary depending on the type of car he is registering. Insurance coverage rates also differ from one company to another.
According to the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI), the top ten cars that are most difficult to insure are the following:
1. Lexus IS 300
2. Land Rover Discovery Series II
3. Audi S4
4. Jaguar X-Type
5. Mercedes SLK Class
6. Lexus GS 430
7. Land Rover Freelander
8. Mitsubishi Montero
9. BMW X5
10. Toyota 4Runner
So, depending on your car type and model, the amount that you will shell out from your pockets will also vary. Check out car insurance companies’ policies to see if you can have your ca insured at a lower cost.
In addition to the above-given list, the HLDI also lists vehicles that are the most expensive based theft, injury and collision claims. Remember that this list may not apply in your country because the study was based in the United States:
