Independence Day in the Philippines Moved to June 9

The Independence Day in my country (Philippines) has always been celebrated since its declaration in 1898 on the 12th of June.

This year, under the Gloria Macapagal Arroyo administration, the schedule was moved today (June 9). Many Filipinos have observed that this president has been very active in doing one thing - moving holidays.

Wikipedia.org stated that the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled in November 2002 that the Federal Wire Act prohibits electronic transmission of information for sports betting across telecommunications lines but affirmed a lower court ruling that the Wire Act “‘in plain language’ does not prohibit Internet gambling on a game of chance.”

Some of us may not know what a cash advance is and how it is regulated in some countries like the United States.A payday loan (also called a paycheck advance or payday advance) is a small, short-term loan that is intended to cover a borrower’s expenses until his or her next payday. Typical loans are between $100 and $500 and are due in two weeks, with interest rates of up to 400% APR. On a two-week loan, fees average $15 for each $100 lent. The loans are also sometimes referred to as cash advances, though that term can also refer to cash provided against a prearranged line of credit such as a credit card.

According to ancient texts and doctrines, the earliest Western documents (in the form of literary works, art objects, as well as mythographic materials) concerning same-sex relationships are derived from ancient Greece. They depict a world in which relationships with women and relationships with youths were the essential foundation of a normal man’s love life. Same-sex relationships were a social institution variously constructed over time and from one city to another. The formal practice, an erotic yet often restrained relationship between a free adult male and a free adolescent, was valued for its pedagogic benefits and as a means of population control, though occasionally blamed for causing disorder. Plato praised its benefits in his early writings,but in his late works proposed its prohibition.

Gabby Concepcion Back in the Philippines

When I was growing up, Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta were one of the hottest love teams. Later in life they got married and had a child, KC Concepcion. However, things didn’t turn out well and the two parted ways after many years of marriage. Well, that’s life.
